Day 5: Denali - Fairbanks
Travel by deluxe motorcoach on a scenic journey to Fairbanks. Enjoy a city tour of Fairbanks followed by an afternoon cruise on the Riverboat Discovery Stenwheeler. Overnight in Fairbanks.
Day 6: Faribanks - Anchorage - Seward
In the morning you will take a flight to Anchorage. Then relax on a deluxe motorcoach ride to Seward, where you will board Radiance of the Seas to begin your cruise adventure.
Seward is known as the gateway to the Kenai Fjords National Park and the home of Exit Glacier, one of the only glaciers accessible by road.
Day 7: Hubbard Glacier (Cruising)
The longest river of ice in North America, the Hubbard Glacier is also one of the most active glaciers of its kind in Alaska. Because our ship is designed to provide us with the best viewing possible, we’ll be able to see this massive natural wonder, with its 1,350 square miles of blue ice, from just about anywhere on the ship.
Day 8: Skagway
Just imagine thousands of gold-crazed adventurers sought the best jumping-off spot for their arduous trek, as they found the deepest penetration by boat was at the northern tip of the Lynn Canal. This is how Skagway was born. Here we can ride the world-famous White Pass and Yukon Railroad and then visit one of the historic gold-rush camps, were we can browse though cabins and tents that were once used as a bakery and a saloon.
Day 9: Juneau
Today we arrive in Juneau, the capital of Alaska. Juneau is home to some of Alaska’s most spectacular scenery. Nestled at the foot of Mt. Juneau, the city faces the water from the mainland side of Gastineau Channel. Several magnificent jfords are located along the channel coast, and the majestic Mendenhall Glacier.
Day 10: Icy Strait Point
Today we arrive in Icy Strait Point. At one moment, we could be viewing a picturesque Alaskan bay from the doorstep of a historic cannery and the next, spying a humpback whale from the rail of the boat. That’s just part of the beauty and diversity of Icy Strait Point. Venture out in search of brown bear, go flightseeing, mountain biking or fishing in remote streams. The possibilities are limitless.
Day 11: Ketchikan
Ketchikan originated as an Indian fish saltery, but the town’s major growth began when it became a supply base and entry port for miners during the 1898 Gold Rush to the Klondike. Much of the town’s colorful past is still in evidence, especially in the nearby Indian villages, where you’ll see colorfully carved totem poles and hear the fascinating legends that surround them.
Day 12: Inside Passage (Cruising)
The moment we have been waiting for has arrived. Cruising through the Inside Passage is really what has made Alaska cruising so popular. This trip captures so much of what people love about Alaska. There are glaciers the size of Rhode Island. Misty rain forests and ghostly blue fjords and spirited communities that celebrate their varied heritage. Be sure to take in every view as you sail through one of the most beautiful parts of Alaska.
Day 13: Vancouver, British Columbia - Home
Today you arrive in Vancouver, British Columbia. You will disembark the ship in the morning. What an adventure you have had, and what better way to experience that adventure then with friends!
